UPDATE on the Proposed Change to Section 1031 of the IRC: Subsidized Agricultural Land or Farm Land

Proposed Change to Section 1031: Exchanges of Subsidized Agricultural Land or Farm Land

I previously blogged about the Farm Bill that is currently pending before the United States Congress and the fact that it contains a provision that would affect Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code, including the exchange of subsidized agricultural land (ag land) or farm land.

Update on the Farm Bill

I am pleased to report that the provision mentioned above has been dropped from the Farm Bill and is no longer a concern.
